7/13/2026 The Stinson Beach Fire Protection District has lowered its flags to half staff to honor the life of longtime Stinson Beach resident Barbara Ward. Flags are also at half staff by presidential proclamation for Senator Lindsey Graham.

Why are the SBFPD flags flown at half staff?

The Stinson Beach Fire Protection District flies its flags at half staff for:

Presidential or Gubernatorial orders
Memorial Day
Death of a member of the Stinson Beach Community

If you would like the flags be flown at Half Staff to honor the life of a community member, an immediate family member must make this request by writing to info@stinsonbeachfire.org.

Once the request has been made, the flag will be flown at half-staff for 4 days, and the name of the deceased will be posted here.
