1/23/2026 The SBFPD flag has been lowered to half-staff in honor of the life of Elliott Kolker, a longtime Stinson Beach resident, who passed away yesterday.
Elliott was a staple of this community, an artist, a poet, and someone deeply loved by many in town.

Why are the SBFPD flags flown at half staff?

The Stinson Beach Fire Protection District flies its flags at half staff for:

Presidential or Gubernatorial orders
Memorial Day
Death of a member of the Stinson Beach Community

If you would like the flags be flown at Half Staff to honor the life of a community member, an immediate family member must make this request by writing to info@stinsonbeachfire.org.

Once the request has been made, the flag will be flown at half-staff for 4 days, and the name of the deceased will be posted here.
